Speed writing.  Poetry is spoken near light.
Walking the Stones.
Line after line.  White and green.
Pen frozen on paper as clear as these words.
As dear as these words.
As quiet as a toumb.  Thousands of white stones.
Standing in silence.  In respect, thousands upon thousands, upon thousands of
White Stones.  And she placed a flower there, eyes dry and clear.
As the stark well kept lawns.
Were silent.  In respect and reverence.
Memorials, Walking the Stones in silence and grace,
Remember this when you see.
Remember those in honor and prayers.
Go walking the Stone and touch the past that is your future.
This is not a parade or burger fest on the grill.
Those lives are too precious.
Too near and dear.  Salute and honor!  Pray and stay well for the betterment.  HAVE A GOOD AND SAFE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.  And as ever be well.  Stephen Craig Rowe
Wish you were here!
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
object width="425" height="355">
Artist:  Pink Floyd
Remember when you were young
You shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes
Like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire
Of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger you legend you martyr and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon,
You cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night,
And exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome
With random percision,
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

My eyes were dry when I walked the stones and my vision clear.
Now the rain falls as does my tears.
Pray this madness ends.  And as ever be well.

Thank you ,it is nice of you to remind us all . I have worked with children in the past and each year the meaning has to be reexplained to the new children . Parents please tell your kids what holidays mean ! If you don’t who will ?

I love that you selected a Pink Floyd song for it’s lyrics.  I have always loved Pink Floyd but not only for their lyrics but the unique way they use sound effects in there music.  I have a DVD on the making of Echos and it shows all the ways they make there sound effects and you wouldn’t believe what all they use.  They even used a fish bowl which was neat.  I also think about the song Time and how the girl just moans and moans and it just seems to tranquilize you.  The sounds they use, whatever they may be, seems to always fit where they use them to make an easy listening sound.  Thanks for your post and bringing back memories of a wonderful song.  Shine On You Crazy
Diamond is one of the best.  Just reading the lyrics I could music without any.

    Stephen, dear friend
    is the perfect day
    live like a bird
    like a fish
    like a flower
    like a tree
    and spreading your hand
    to whole man
    wait for a God sign
    when the afternoon falls
    the lights going down
    and the bed , softly
    receives your body
    and the satin
    involve your soul
    you are ready
    to make love
    with all good things
    sleep, sleep
    because in tomorrow
they are a new perfect day
    waiting for you…
    With love, respect and honor,

Wow…that was quite a shocking look at the war.  The soldiers past and present were in my mind Memorial Day, but they should be in our minds daily.  I think of them often as I watch the news daily, but even in the news, it has toned down the exposure.  This was a good reminder of what is going on so far from our shores…..
