Talking about Softly Touching The Moon
Quote
Following thunderstormsAnd tornadosI signed off the computer,Grabbed a light jacketand not exactly dashed offFor the bus stop. At a slowSteady paceand half a blockfrom the houseMy ears were stingingCheeks red and I wasBecoming a frozen Stephen.Ah, too late to turn back. Then, after three blocksI turned the corner and saw the bus pull away.I laughed out loudAnd headed back to the house.Had a bracing bit of the great outdoors!Following thunderstorms and tornadosTired Cold fingers of winterReturn with Icy WindsReminding the Naked WoodsTo tremble beforethe Sap runs in the thawAs the Birds return and Callthe Spring in the light ofThe Full Crow Moon.Speaking softly as a prayerThat moans in the EarthTo be re born.As ever be well. My Dear Stephen.. Your poetry is absolutely beautiful…Sunday Morning it snowed here..cold icy winds…and today it is Spring weather in the 50’s….I so love your writing…as your words speak softly to my soul….I am well my friend..and each day a bit stronger..I did however about have another coronary when I received the hospital bill in the mail today (sigh)…ahhhh even after the insurance paid..there is still so much left for me to worry about how to pay the bill..soooo in the morning when I am fresh, I shall tackle it…call the hospital…make the payment arrangements and eat peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches for the next year (sadly smiling)…It is the way of the world isn’t it? But then…I am not ready to put a price on my life..and they did save it…(that is the other side of the coin…so to speak)….the warm wind upon the snow..thawing the ice pain of the hospital bill (laugh)….poetic words to a stark reality…Take care my friend…I always love to hear from you….Eternally…..Sandra
I hope that you remember a coat next time (for your health’s sake).
But as ever Stephen, you have managed to capture the awe that life presents itself with utter beauty.
Thanks for your words.
Kelsey
Most poetry I cannot read. Yours I can read because it is filled with beautiful images. it is visual and I love it. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous, as usual. Damn, you’re good!
You know…yeah, you know. :) :) :)
Love,
Jaime.
P.S. Are you still a frozen Stephen? I hope you’re warm and toasty now.
Stephen,
words become music
like a strain that evokes
in your hands
‘glad to know you’re on the mend
be well,
d.
Hello Stephen,We are still getting a little bit of rain here, pretty today so the cold will not get to my bones! Have to be out & around some.Barbara

When I still lived on the coast my friend, I used to go up to the Coast Guard Lookout station. When the storms were rolling in, (minus the lightning mind you) I would go out there and draw the energy from the wind.
Now THAT I miss!! I’m glad that you can laugh about missing the bus. I usually end up saying (to convince myself not to throw a hissy fit mind you) that there is a reason for that. Have a wonderful day, Peace~Nita
Hello Stephen!
How are you dear friend? I trust that you are all warmed up now. I wondered with the rocky weather in your area if you would have been away from the computer. I watched on the weather channel as the storms passed through ever wondering if you and your friends were all safe. I don’t like storms. As I was reading your passage, I could see everything taking place, as always, and you know, soon the forest will not be naked. I have noticed many nubbies (as I have called the buds since I was little) on many of the trees. I am so excited. I love the newness of the seasons. It was sometime in Feb. when I had noticed my first Robin and remember being so tickled, all I kept thinking about was, well it is getting warmer. I can’t wait to get back to my flower beds. Enough of me, are you still behaving and doing as the Dr. says? I am glad. How are you feeling, is each day getting better? I hope so, you sound like you are a pretty good patient. How was going back to work for the first time? I know, I am a bit windy tonight, sorry. I was just doing some catching up, hope I am not being to forward.
I will let you go for now, so do take care until we speak again okay.
Chow!

Hey Stephen,
I just saw your comment on Cheryl’s space about seeing the Kingston Trio. I saw that! Wasn’t that great?! I didn’t actually get to see the whole thing, but I loved what I saw. A lot of those songs on that show were camp songs or songs that my Mom loved. I sang and sang along and remembered. It was really special.
Loves ya!
J.
Stephen,
I can see you in your garden talking to your roses.
Spring is withholding herself, but soon…
Hello Stephen:
May be you are describing one part of my country. Its cold and raining here… ohh I hope Spring come soon and sun warms our hearts.

Hi Stephen,
I like this poem and it makes me chilly just reading it. I had to put my blog on private settings for the time being; some serious security issues. You are on my list and I hope you have access. Let me know. I’m not exactly sure how it will work.
Stephen.. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind words.. I love your space too! :)
